CALPUFF Training Course - Hotel Information

A three-day advanced CALPUFF modeling course will be held Monday, June 30 through Wednesday, July 2, 2008. The course will run from 8:30am to 5:00pm each day. Lunch each day is included in the course fee, as are the morning and afternoon coffee and snacks.

Hotel Information

The Courtyard Boulder is conveniently located near Pearl Street, which has many restaurants and shops. The accommodation is spacious and comes with coffee, tea and luxurious bedding. There is also a pool, whirlpool and fitness center. The rooms come with free high-speed internet access.

The Courtyard by Marriott Boulder hotel is close to many other Boulder attractions, like the University of Colorado, with its Mackey Auditorium and Fiske Planetarium, the Boulder Flatirons and historical Chautauqua Park, or Chautauqua Auditorium where the Colorado Symphony plays. For outdoor activities, there is El Dorado Springs for rock climbing, and Rocky Mountain National Park for hiking and mountain biking. Downtown Denver is only forty minutes away.

Hotel Bookings

Room rates of $179 per night for single or double room have been arranged for attendees of the TRC CALPUFF Training Course. Room rates are quoted exclusive of local taxes and fees, currently at 10.25%. Room reservations at the Courtyard Boulder must be made directly with Marriott reservations at 1-800-321-2211. Please mention that you are attending the “TRC Event”. Contact the hotel for details about restrictions and conditions. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods. Reservations by attendees must be received on or before 5:00 pm MDT, Friday June 20, 2008 (the ‘Cutoff Date’).

Transport

Denver International Airport (DIA) offers SKYRIDE for convenient transport from DIA to Boulder. One-way service is $10 for adults ($16 round trip). The SKYRIDE has hourly service from DIA to Boulder starting at 6:20am until 11:20pm. The SKYRIDE has hourly service from Boulder Transit Center daily from 3:20am until 9:30pm.

The AB SKYRIDE leaves DIA from Level 5, Island 5, outside Door 506 or 510 at the west side of the terminal and Door 507 or 511 at the east side of the terminal. Identify the bus with the route name and destination and board that bus. You can check with departure times for each route at Island 5 in the shelter at either the east or west side of the terminal.
