Jelena Popovic is a meteorologist with expertise in meteorological and dispersion modeling.
As a member of TRC’s Atmospheric Studies Group (ASG), Ms. Popovic has performed numerous
air pollution impact assessments using a wide range of air quality models. She has extensive
experience with the CALMET/CALPUFF modeling system for both long-range transport modeling to
assess the impacts on visibility and air quality at Class I Areas, and for near-field modeling
applications. Ms. Popovic has expertise in performing a processing and evaluation of
meteorological data, terrain and land use data, ozone data and source emissions data, and
has designed several routines for a variety of data processing. She also has experience with
ISCST3, AERMOD, SACTI, and CTSCREEN models. Before joining ASG, Ms. Popovic has worked on
meteorological data analysis employing various statistical techniques on large data sets
(correlation analysis, empirical orthogonal functions, spectral analysis, data filtering).
Ms. Popovic has also developed routines for atmospheric modeling and has experience with
general circulation models.
